I just installed Tomcat and made it available in eclipse. I don't know if this will work for anyone else but I tried everything I could find in the forums before succeeding.I installed Tomcat on Windows 7 OS. In "C:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\runtime\conf\server.xml" There was a missing setting in "C:\ColdFusion2021\config\wsconfig\1\workers.properties" i.e. In "C:\ColdFusion2021\config\wsconfig\1\workers.properties": In "C:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\runtime\conf\server.xml":ģ. It would exit immediately with no message.Ĭhanged localhost to 127.0.0.1 in three places:ġ,2. Note: "C:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\runtime\bin\wsconfig.exe" wasn't working. My similar-problem was with Coldfusion2021 & Apache24 (64bit) on fresh Win11 i9 laptop. We rarely see them comment on anything here. That's what Adobe watches for "things to fix". Instead, file a feature request (or bug report) at. I will say finally that this forum may not be the place to plead for that. And again, I appreciate the frustration you're expressing and that it's shared by many others. So again, all I'm saying is that they have done more than most may realize. And FWIW, every update technote indicates whether an update to the connector is required for that update, and since CF11, every technote lists at the bottom what prior updates required such a connector update, which is really helpful again when one may be skipping updates. Does it suck that someone may have to review those? Yes, but again note how the top over every technotes identifies key issues like that one, as well as the one from Update 4.Īs for wishing the update mechanism would do "all the steps needed", there has always been a separation between the updater (which updates CF) and the web server connector (which runs as a separate app, the wsconfig.exe). And since the updates are indeed cumulative, they can't list in that update UI box ALL the things that may have happened in the updates one may be skipping over.įWIW, each update technote does offer a link to a page with all the previous updates and their release notes. (The problem started with update 8, and it points out that if one is updating from anything before 8, they need to follow the "post installation" steps indicated.)Īnd every update (in the update UI) offers a "read more" link to the technote for that update. ![]() This potential issue is the first thing mentioned at the top of the technnote for update 10. ![]() ![]() David, I hear your frustration, but while I don't work for Adobe I do think they have done more than most folks realize.
